Hi there,

I thought I would tell you about my "Insano Chumba Wamba" system build which is a Semi/ New system which has cost me just over £500 pounds sterling ($1000 USD).

Antec 1200 with added Antec side fan (8 Fans Total -set to low) - new £100

Gigabyte GA-M57 SLI Mobo 750i Chipset - 1 year old £60

AMD Athlon X2 4600+ - 1 year old £76

4Gb DDR2 800mhz PNY Memory with added useless heatspreader! - new £55

Two Gainward Bliss 8800 GT Golden Sample 1024mb Edition GPUs - new off Fleabay for £112 each , they normally retail for £210 :D = £240

Asus Xonar PCI 7.1 Sound Card £60

Two Seagate 500gb SATA 32mb HDDs in Raid 1 - both 1 year old

My original spec got me baseline vista score of 5.1 but now im at 5.9

I already had the power supply aswell which was handy which is a Tagan 800w SLi ready PSU.

Couple of questions though:

I was given and SLi bracket with my mobo but after a year I have lost it, is it necessary?

Also where can I find badges like AMD , Nvidia and Vista badges for my case?

Thanks!

AMD, Nvidia and Vista badges? This is really cracking me up... you want to brag about your AMD CPU when Intel has the lead there? You want to brag about your Nvidia GPU when AMD/ATI has the lead there? You want to brag about having Vista?

Personally, I wouldn't want ANY of those things on my case.

How did you get the Intel motherboard to work with the AMD chip?

Ahhh, never mind. Figured it out, the mother board is the 570 sli, must have been a typo.

Have no idea if this is close to what you are looking for, http://cgi.ebay.com/nVIDIA-SLi-Bri [...] dZViewItem .

And to enable sli you would need both cards installed and the bridge connecting the two cards together. I always got the stickers from buying the box parts, and then promptly throw them away.

Why are you thinking of upgrading? That old system is junk by today's standards, true, but it can still be useful for a while.

Also, where is the "Insano Mega Chumba-wamba system" promised in the topic title?

I like your case and sound card. Those are worth reusing.

lol you didnt read this post properly noobs,

I already had the processor and mobo from last year in my old rig which was:

AMD Athlon X2 4600+ <-----not new!
Gigabyte GA M57 Sli
X1950 Pro

Notice the emphasis that this processor is not new and I DID NOT SPEND 76 POUNDS ON IT.
