So this gives me 4GB for the ubuntu install with mythtv, and as of when I build it, 640 gigs raided.

it also leaves me with 1 free slot on the backplane and 4 free sata spots.

so to fully fill it out I would just need 4 more 640gig drives(360) and 1 more backplane(65).

This should give me enough space to play around with as a media server.


I also don't want to spend to much on it, because my current computer is an p5n-e w/4300. it only has 4 sata slots total, and I don't want my media server to be faster than my main computer.
