Just to add some info to this, I do not plan to overclock at first, and I will use this system primarily for games. I already have Windows XP, a keyboard and a mouse, and a monitor.

I have some suggestions.
1) for the 4870, Visiontek has a better warranty, but Asus's price is $255 after rebate. It's up to you which is more important, price or warranty.
2) for one video card, that PSU seems like overkill. Also, you can get the blue or red versions of that psu for less. I'd go with a Corsair 750W psu though, it's cheaper and similarly spec'd.
3) you can find memory with better timings and voltages than that OCZ. Look for 4-4-4-12 timings.
4)You can get 22X SATA dvd burners by Samsung with Lightscribe for $28 each.
5)Look at the Xigmatek S-1283. It's $27 after rebate with very close performance to the Zalman you have.
