I am not sure what the s610 is. Can you give any more info than that? Also what kind of 8800gts are these, g80 or g92?

More than likely the 610w will work but it will be close. If you are picking which one to buy in every situation I would pick the 1000w psu.

its the gts 512 mb (g92), yea the supply is for every situation but will take up a bit too much room in the case
s610 is a highly rated psu on newegg
maybe i can go with the TP3-650? a lil bit more head room in terms of wattage.

First wattage doesn't mean jack. Second, what is the s610? It is helpful to attach a manufacturer's name so that people actually know what you are talking about. s610 doesn't yield any usable results.

Actually the Corsair is the better choice.. I know.. better than the PC Power & Cooling s series.

Corsair TX650W:

PC Power & Cooling s610:

The higher wattage models use the same technology but higher wattage.

In ripple, efficiency and rail stability the Corsair wins.

As for the Antec TPQ1000, it's better than both of these. The only issue it has is with nVIDIA cards using older drivers (although this affected other PSUs as well).

alright, now its just btwn 650tx and 750 tx i just gotta pinpoint exactly how much wattage i need and on what rails, then i can decide if i wanna spend the extra money on the 750tx (aslo the 750 tx is bigger)

You really shouldn't choose Cosair over PCP&Cooling, giving similar specs and price. Cosair units are decent, but it's simply not the same as the first unit in Tier 1. PCP&C 610w and above units are considered the gold standard.

yeah elmoisevil, while i agree w/ your name, PC power and cooling are still better units than the corsair's, not by much but by enough to give the PC power and cooling the definite, "hell yes" certification of my, or dagger's or even ZORG's appoval.

P.S. Just by mentioning ZORG you should all be shivering in fear!

Sorry to doulbe post, but just by saying 610 watter you should all be thinking of the infamous PC P&C unit, b/c that one is one heck of deal, $90 for that kind of performance is unheard of...

wait if u buy it b4 or on the 26th u get 20% off further on top of the MIR, so $68 for the 610..

for hte 750 watter it's $90 bucks after the promo code and MIR...u can't beat that price/performance...

ok after more research, i think ill go with pc p n c 750 cuz who needs a fan in the bottom compartment? to cool 1hdd, i dont think so. i ll just put that fan in the upper compartment to cool vga/cpu. now since some cables of the pcpnc750 are modular they might not be long enuff, once i figure out their length i think im good to go!!!!!!!!!!1
