So here's my dilemma. My current configuration is:

Q6600
4 Gigz OCZ Reaper
8800GT
AB9 Pro

I'm really debating if I should jump to SLI configuration. That would mean I would need another 8800gt (BFG in my situation) and a new motherboard.

I'm torn because I'm also thinking about going with a ATI setup, either crossfire hd 4850's or a single HD 4870. That too mean's a new motherboard.

The SLI upgrade may run me around $300 since the 8800 GT are dropping prices.

HD 4850 crossfire set up will run me about $600

HD 4870 set up will be atleast $500

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

and tell me if this is wrong

HD 4870 < 8800 GT OC SLI < HD 4850 Crossfire

Thanks for helping me, I'm just so indecisive at this point

If you are a big gamer and the current setup does not do what you want it to do, Then it might be worth upgrading.

Do you get really low FPS on your current setup?

If you want you can get a single 4870 without getting a new MB.

In my opinion it is not worth it yet. Most of the GOOD games out there don't scale as well for sli. I would say grab one video card that is just as powerful for the same money. Then by the time you need to upgrade, i t might be worth it to go SLI. I just went from SLI 8800 GTS's 320mb (EVGA) to an EVGA GTX260 superclocked and couldn't be happier.
