Pc to tv using rgb cable

Hello,
when laptop started windows image pop up but when desktop is displayed no signal message is displayed
on tv screen

Lower the resolution on the laptop external display, start at the lowest setting and move up till you can't see the image. The one before is the setting you want to use. rgb cables will not be able to carry a high signal range needed for higher resolutions. Unless this is a HD cable connection, then it should hande things pretty well.

If you post your hardware, how long the cables are, will be more helpful in figuring out what you should check.

The television may have settings for Input which will include RGB and without which it doesn't know where ot look for a signal.
