Acer 2700 laptop

Hello,
I have tried to recover my laptop using alt + F10 but it won't do it! At what point should I be pressing them? I've tried before the windows bar comes up (as loading) - all it does is make a horrible beeping noise at me! Any help would be appreciated. I've also tried loading the recovery disk before it starts up - but that doesn't register at all.

well, you need to tell us what make and model laptop you have. If you have a recovery disk, you can usually fix it yourself. Once we know what computer this is, we can probably tell you what buttons to use for a restore operation.
