Ok. I have a A8M2N-LA (Naos) motherboard. And it states it supports * Socket: AM2
* Supports AMD Athlon 64 and Sempron processors

And being Athlon LE came out so late, no motherboard actually states if it supports a LE or not. So my question is would a "AMD Athlon LE-1660 Lima 2.8GHz 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 45W Single-Core Processor" fit and work in a A8M2N-LA (Naos) motherboard. Hope someone can help : /. Need to know asap

Yes it should. The LE-1660 CPU is no different than die shrinked Athlon 64.

Thanks a bunch. Its only like $50 so I won't be too mad even if it doesn't. But I'll take the chance. Going from 1.8ghz to 2.8 should help a bunch.

I'd get a dual core. The X2 5000+ is pretty cheap, and even with the slower clockspeed (2.6Ghz I think) it'd be much better.

See, idk about that though, because would it work? It states Athlon 64, or sempron. Would it run a Althon x2? Here is the site for the motherboard specs
