hey all, I was thinking about building a sub-$1000 and was wondering what you guys thought of it.

That's a lot of money to spend on a hard drive. You can get a much bigger drive for less, which will be almost as fast. Use a portion of the money saved there to buy a better quality PSU. Some Rosewills have received a favorable review by Jonnyguru, but a) I'm not sure that's one of them, b) the brand as a whole appears on tier-5 ("Do not buy") of an admittedly aging PSU listing, and c) cheap / bad PSUs tend to smoke and croak at some percentage of their claimed rating, often taking other parts with them.
Corsair, Antec, Enermax, PC Power & Cooling, and OCZ all make good PSUs that would be better choices.
