if you have good cooling than it shouldnt effect it to much but will decrease the lifespan of it if your running with higher voltage than recommend, but as long as u have a good cooler and temps are good u should be fine.

I have never run my now aging b3 q6600 at stock frequency/voltage. Well I did to install windows but... two years plus, and i haven't noticed any problems what so ever. Over clock that f-cker and enjoy, just keep your voltage under 1.35 and core temps under 70c.

im not 100% sure, but on speed fan it says cpu 32degrees, and core 0 and 1 are 39 degrees. after prime95 it gets to 70 or so

Have you thought about investing in a third party cooler?

I upgrade my CPU every 6-8 months, this is well before the CPU will die
