if you have good cooling than it shouldnt effect it to much but will decrease the lifespan of it if your running with higher voltage than recommend, but as long as u have a good cooler and temps are good u should be fine.

I have never run my now aging b3 q6600 at stock frequency/voltage. Well I did to install windows but... two years plus, and i haven't noticed any problems what so ever. Over clock that f-cker and enjoy, just keep your voltage under 1.35 and core temps under 70c.
