Reinstalling XP

Hello,

I have just bought a Samsung Q1 Ultra Mobile which had XP Tablet Edition on from new but the previous owner installed Windows 7 and gave me the XP Recovery Disc with the machine. I now want to reinstall the XP Tablet edition but can't because it's older than the W7. If I wipe/reformat the drive, will I be able to reinstall the XP Tablet from the Recovery Disc?

you should be able to. Just make sure you go into the bios and boot from the disk. Another thing is that bios probably has a setting for acpi and i doubt it will work with rolling back to xp. Go into your bios and turn the acpi mode off and then boot from the disk and run the recovery console. Most likely whomever upgraded it to windows 7 turned that acpi feature on.
