Well my question is i just bought 2 4870s 3 days ago and a whole new system proccessors power supplies ram etc anywaise my question is will my 2 4870s crossfired perform close to the 4870x2 my monitor only supports 1680x1050.

Yea, it'll be pretty much the same at 1680*1050 - you're only going to see a difference at 1920*1200/2560*1600

Its too bad you didn't wait though, the 4870x2 is a better value, ah well.

meh whats done is done unfortunently but anywaise i got the 2 sapphires for cheaper then the 4870x2 would be so

Yea, i'm sure you won't be disappointed - 4870 CF is still going to crush almost every game out there :x

cool thx been kinda worried about it heh considering my fiancee and me paid over 2k to upgrade the computer so i want to make sure atleast the 2 4870s will last me a good year or so.

$2k for an upgrade? What'd you spent it on? :sweat:

 

And 4870 cf performs the same as a single 4870x2.

Hopefully that upgrade consisted of a 50" lcd tv on the wall. 2k on an upgrade is more than 90% of any single computer out there.

Please give us the details on that because you have me so curious it hurts...

my system has changed i now have a 4870x2 crossfired with a 4870 thx for the feedback but im happy now with my 4870x2 cf with a 4870
