Cpu problem

Hi,I have a lenovo k300 i bought from bestbuy a year ago it has an e5700 cpu,bought a q9450 online and installed it but computer would not boot to bios,computer did turn on and fans are running but blank screen,tried resetting bios checked for bios update there are none have installed 600 watt psu and 6850 gpu i seen on intel website there is a chipset update not sure if that would matter,kind of ran out of ideas any help would really be appreciated thanks in advance.

It's probably not compatible, have you tried updating the BIOS.
