need for 3rd party cooler & will it fit?

Getting close to ordering & am still debating wether I need a 3rd party hsf.

My parts:
lian li pc-65b case
Gigabyte ep45-ds3r mobo
q9450 (or 9550 if the elusive "price drop" happens soon)
corsair 650tx power supply
gigabyte radeon hd 3870 graphics card
4x2gb ddr2 800 mushkin ram
3 hard drives
2 dvd burners

I've read a couple reviews complaining about the stock 9450 hsf. I dont plan on much oc, maybe a little, not much gaming.

1) Do I need a 3rd party hsf?

2) If so, would something like the xigmatek hdt-s1283 120mm rifle cpu cooler fit in that lian li case? Or maybe that coolers overkill. Any recommendations?

the xigmatek hdt-s1283 kicks a** is cheap and will fit. Now get the xigmatek achillies or thermalright socket 775 bolt thru kit to go with the hsf and have fun!
