What information can you guys give me about this computer configuration - the quality, the performance, and which hardware is better in quality but has the same performances(for ex. like comparing radeon 64mb DDR graphic card to geforce 64mb DDR)?
I need a good explanation of the individual components, because im planning to buy this computer - ive only listed the important hardware components, excluding monitor case, and dvd-rws

1. CPU AMD -Phenom 9550+ 940, AM2 Quad-Core, 4x512KB L2 cache, 2mb L3 Cache, 2200MHz BOX

2. MAINBOARD GIGABYTE -GA-M52L-S3 - s.AM2, FSB2000, NV Nforce 520LE, dual channel DDRII 800/667/533, 1'PCI-EXPRESS
x16, 8ch.-audio, LAN 1*GbE PHY (Realtek 8211Bl), RAID NV 0, 1,0+1,5, Virtual Dual BIOS, ATX

3. MEMORY APACHER -2GB DDRII 800

4. HDD HITACHI -320GB, 7200 16MB SATA2

5. VGA GIGABYTE - GeForce 9500GT, (N95TOC-1GH SLI), 1GB, 128bit, GDDR3, Core clock 650Mhz (Std:550), Mem clock

good or bad depending on the price

what are you going to be using this for? gaming? not the greatest gaming rig.

The 9500gt is a weaker version of the 9600gt - much weaker.

""(Note) If you install AMD AM2+ CPU on AM2 motherbord, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0(5200MHz) to HT1.0(2000 MT/s) spec; however, the frequency of AM2+ CPU will not be impacted.""

It would make a nice video transcoding rig but not much of a gamer as noted.

With OS, KB/mouse, etc. (no monitor) I wouldn't go more than $500

(Can we price at Tom's ???)

Oddly enough on the CPU support list the fixed B3 versions of the Phenom CPU are not listed as supported.Only the B2 steppings (the defective) Phenoms are listed as supported.
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support [...] ctID=2634.
The Phenom X4 9550 is the fixed version and is somewhat slow. However it's very inexpensive right now and a good choice for a budget quad CPU build.
You would be better off for a budget gaming system with a fast Athlon 64 X2 6000+ or Athlon X2 6400+ which would be less expensive.Another good choice on a budget is the Tri Core Phenom X3 8750 which would be faster than the Quad Core 9550 and less expensive.

It would be a better match with a 780G type motherboard like this one

A better motherboard would be a 790GX type motherboard but these would be about $60 more.It depends on your budget. With a 790GX motherboard you could crossfire 2 inexpensive ATI graphics cards such as 2 HD 4670's.

A good inexpensive video card would be the HD 4670 perhaps like this one

Drop the AMD setup and buy a P35 with an E5200. Overclock that to 3.0 (extremely easy) and your set. Drop the 9500 GT, it simply sucks. Get atleast a 9600 GT, get a 8800 GT/9800 GT (same thing) if you can. See if you can squeeze out enough for a 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800mhz RAM set. Enjoy the kick ass computer.

Thank you for your suggestions and advices. However i still dont know what to do?

What i know for sure is that ill certainly change the graphics card in the configuration either to 8800 GT or 9600 GT.
And the RAM to 4GB DDRII 800MHz

But i dont know which motherboard and processor (also i was told that the chipset is very important too.)?

Any suggestions on that - im into buying amd athlon but dont know if i should go for athlon x2 or phenom, and also dont know which motherboard functions best with which processor (something like that they are compatible with eachother, so the bus speed for example doesnt downgrade from HT3.0 to HT1.0)

Ill hope i hear from you soon...

The motherboard is important for the system, but you don't need to spend huge amounts of money to have a decent motherboard. The P35 is a great overclocker and has all the connections and features you need. The E5200 is the absolute best budget CPU on the market. It is pretty fast, but with some simple overclocking you can easily match an E8400.

That said, the 9950 X4 is not too much more than the 9550 X4, and it is pretty good. Any AM2+ motherboard with the SB750 south bridge will do great.

Hope this helps
