hi. i would like to buy a motherboard for an Intel e5200. if possible without any need of bios update. i'd prefer an ASUS, but a Gigabyte would be also fine.
something below 90$

More about : motherboard e5200

You almost always need a bios update, atleast it is recommended some Asus mobo's has bios flash 2 and that makes it really easy to flash your motherboard real easy. But not all asus mobo's have this function.

hmm...i'm not a big gamer. as i said i'd stay with an integrated video for the moment.
i would like the MB to have 4 slots for ram, as i plan on running a vista x64 bit system. so it has to be x64 compatible.
i think that's all. so mostly office application
thanks for suggestions.

ps-sincerely i don't know much about motherboards and i don't see the advantages of a more expensive MB (except overclocking, which i'm not interested in)

Hold up. Asus doesn't list any of the suggested boards for the e5200.

Sorry, my bad. They snuck it in at the bottom of the cpu list. Now I know.
