Hi,
As a new OCer I'll begin with my old computer having a crutial need of some performances. My CPU was naturally really hot today (75C) and I remplaced the Thermal Compound and the intern temperature is 35C @ Vcore 1.2V now OEM fan.
The CPU is supposed to run at 2.13GHz but it's actually 1600.1MHz. =\
So as I was looking for guides, some of OCer mentionned the Zalman, Spirit II, etc. to cool the NB. I was wondering if I really need that on my ASUS to do a safe overclock.
If you have any other recommandation, feel free to post =)
Kind regards,
A.R.

For a considerably normal overclock you don't need an aftermarket cooler for the NB...
Before you overclock reset all of the default settings in your bios to try to get it back to stock speed...and possibly try a bios update...then overclock in small steps or increments while monitoring temp and stress test with prime95...If you could give a detailed description of your computer, like the specs, I would be able to give more help...good luck! :)
