Hello.

I plan to spent some free money for new PC designed for gaming. I'd like to concentrate on nForce chipset because of future SLI usage.
What I plan to buy is:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 with Scythe Mugen
Asus Striker Extreme nForce 680i SLI
GeForce GTX 280 (yes I know that HD4870 is out now and it's relatively cheap and effective especially in CF but I want to stay with nVidia)
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) 1333MHz CL7 Platinium
2 x Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB 10000rpm 16MB cache SATAII

What do you think guys? Is it good choice? Maybe you have any suggestions. I've been out of PC businness for quite long time so any advice is welcome.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help.

Kind regards

P.S. I'm sorry for my english - haven't practise for some time.

Hello and welcome to the forums mate :)

First of all,u cant use that RAM with thar board because the RAM is DDR3 and u cant combine DDR3 RAM in DDR2 board,so go for a DDR2 RAM because the difference between DDR3 and DDR2 isnt much and DDR2 is cheaper also i say go for a DDR2 800 RAM with 4-4-4-x or lower timings because the difference between DDR2 800 and 1066 isn't much and DDR2 800 OCs very good too.

For motherboard, get a Nvidia 780i SLI if u want to go with SLI.

Others look fine :)
