Hey guys. I was wondering what to do. I was thinking of buying an E7200 or another 8800GT. I have an SLI motherboard. So what would I get better performance with? here are my specs:



Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory:
2046MB RAM
Hard Drive:
500 GB
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Operating System:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Motherboard:
ASUS P5N-D
Computer Case:
RAIDMAX Smilodon
Power Supply:
Antec Trio 550W

lcd screen size is needed.
will you overclock ? if so save the $$$ and overclock what you got.

+1 macer - we need some more info to help. OC may be a good idea.

I have a 20" monitor. Its 1280x1024 max. I don't overclock too much either.

anotehr video card would do little for you... maybe a newer dual core or even a quad? you should consider OC'ing too

an e7200 would be fine right? I can't afford anything much more than that :|

Yeah...the E7200 is nice. You can get one for as low as $100 many places.

Personally id be getting a new screen 1280x1024 is fairly low.

I have an E6600 with a 8800gt and it does me just fine, why are you upgrading?

Why not overclock it? Most E6300s can hit 3GHz or higher, then you can SLI your 8800GT without the CPU being the bottleneck.
