They both could SLI, which is what I wasnt to use, but the X48 allows for DDR AND DDR3 RAM. Would that benefit me more in the long run? Just wondering which one is best. Oh, and they are within $5 of eachother.... If you're are going to be using or you have Nvidia cards, get the 780i.
