that why i keep asking HOW do i take a screen shot so I can show you

i got a q6600
gigabyte x48 ds4
2x2g ocz reaper 800
640g WD
zalman 9700
antec 900

right now im running

400x8 = 3.2
1:1 ram
1.4 vcore but in hwmonitor and cpuz its reading as 1.34

so not sure

and my temps dont break 45c

i got my zalman in my MB so its pegged at 100% i dont mind the noi so its really cool. since it stays so low should i jsut bump the vcore up to 1.5 and go 400x9 for 3.6 ?? or is that dangerous. i wana be able to have this comp for 3+ yrs

thanks guys

you can hit print screen button then paste into paint, then crop as needed

Does it BSOD really fast? You might have been sitting on the edge of stability such that prime95 didn't have a chance to fail before the OS kicked the bucket.

just an opinion

but why don't you start the OC lower? and work your way up?
from 266 -> 400 is a big jump.

try 333x9 first? the higher you push the FSB, the more voltage you'll need.

might as well use the Q6600's 9x multiplier

the voltage range for your CPU is 0.85V – 1.5V

those are intel safe numbers that should ensure your CPU runs for a decent number of years.

and try to stay below 70C during Prime95.

Capture the active window or whole screen with Capture /// AnalogX and use TinyPic to host it for you.
