Problem: in Windows 7 (64) I go to rename my external HDD from "BOBdrive" to "eSata". After I do this, it still shows up in my computer as the default name, yet when I check it anywhere else (computer management or rt click on the drive and chose properties) it still shows that it has been changed to eSATA. Also, the Icon that goes with it is what I call that "non-icon" that usually shows up for an unknown file type.
How do I get this change to happen to the drive name and for it to be 'recognized' as a HDD for the proper icon?

Solved by following the steps in the links provided before. Updated the autorun.ini file with these settings:
[autorun]
icon=xxxx.ico
LABEL=eSATA HDD

One I changed this .ini All I had to do was rename the drive with a rt click rename, and it took!!

Thanks!!!! :bounce:
