Hey all, I've recently purchased a new Gigabyte motherboard and I'm a little confused about something. The reason I picked this board is it was a little more in my price range for xfire than a x38/x48 board was, and this board (by looking at specs) claims to be able to run xfire at x16/x8 mode.

After looking at Intels diagrams for the P45 chipset, it's mentioned that P45 only supports x8/x8 link. I've looked everywhere for confirmation as to whether this board can indeed run x16/x8 link, and the Gigabyte site says the same thing the spec sheet does on Newegg, which led me to the above conclusion. Does anyone have any idea as to whether this could be correct? Here is my board:

I've answered this one in another thread. It's not correct. You can have 16x+0x or 8x+8x. The total number of lanes is 16x and you can't have 16x+8x at the same time.
