largest and best are 2 very different things. you can either get the largest you can afford and have a poor quality panel, or go for something slightly smaller with a much better picture quality.

Bear in mind also, that the more pixels you have, the harder it will be on the graphics card(s).

I've been very pleased with my LG W2252TQ and I've seen a lot of good reviews for the Samsungs (can't remember what range, sorry).

You're probably looking at 22"-24" and 1680x1050 to 1920x1200.

Yeah i see your point, i want a 22 or 24 and ive also heard good things about samsungs. it seems everyother one has a problem with light or color but the samsungs have theirs down on the 24 and i think its on sale at newegg for just about 400. I was just wondeing if anyone else heard the same thing about samsungs that it did. At first i thought acer but aparently they are fuzzy then benq or kds but i think the kds is primariy for size. So my question boils down to benq or samsung but based on what ive heard so far samsung is probably going to be my choice. If anone has any other comments please share. Thanks mi1es

Ive got a Dell 2407 and love it, i think the new ones are 2409's? ive heard good things, could be a bit out of range but they use quality panels.

I have a 22 and a 24" Samsung, and am very happy. 24" is great for DVD's and graphics. They make so many LCD's of each size that it can be a difficult choice. Here's a good basic list, but some of them are probably 2 to 3 years older design, therefore less money, but still very worthwhile. I'd do a viewing at Circuit City or Best Buy, but beware that the fluorescent lights will not be the same as at home.

i have a LG and i am very happy with, thing about LG is they are feature rich, and provide very good picture quality.

how i should point out that Dell make good monitors as do samsung whihc seam to focus on asthetics a lot (the way the actual screen looks) and a fiar bit on picture quality, i have used monitors for all three brands, and they have all been excelent. however i have had 2 dell die on me, one dead pixels and the other had cyan lines span vericallyl. never had a LG die, nor a samsung although i havent used a lot of them.

if you go with dell make sure you read the spec carefully that make a 24" with a low resolution and it is just a gimmick.
