All of a sudden my print would not work. I says it can't start print spooler. I tried to manually start it but now I get that the system can not fine the specified file. I did have the thinkpoint virus but got rid of it. Might it have taken out that file? How do I get it back? If I have the orginal CD's can I load from that? Not sure I have them.

Thanks for your help.

Assuming that you are an administrator try this :

type " sfc /scannow " in the start > run box and hit enter .

The system files scanner will launch and will begin searching for missing configuration files, including the Print Spooler ( you must have the original or other installation XP OS CD in the optical drive for this to work )
