Any advice/suggestions for an external hard drive enclosure for data backup? Can a dual bay unit backup/transfer data from one external hard drive to another? Is it better to get 2 separate single bays units for external drive backup? Will a SSD fit into a external hard drive enclosure? Any comments on the following:

I am leaning to the dual bay external enclosure unit with eSATA interface. How can I tell if my motherboard has a port multiplier function? It is a Asus P5Q deluxe and has one eSATA connection on the back.
