Does anyone have an idea why I can easily receive all the other DTV
stations from Sutro except KGO-DT on channel 24.1? All the other
channels are a 80-95 (out of 100) on my reciever. And yet channel 24
usually has zero signal or sometimes only 0-20 signal strength.
I am using a Radio Shack U-75R UHF Yagi antenna on my roof with an
unobstructed view of Sutro Tower, and I am located on Nob Hill in SF
only 3 miles from the transmitter. The receiver is a brand new
DirecTivo HR10-250 with an ATSC tuner built in.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
The stations I can easily receive are:

I got the same issue in Hayward. They must be running 30-40 watts max!

Two thoughts:
One, you may be overloading the front end of the receiver with those strong
signals. You can buy attenuators at Radio Shack for a few dollars each.
Try
knocking down the input signal strength by 6 or 10 dB.
Two, there may be interference from one of the VHF stations falling on UHF
Channel 24. There's not much you can do about it except complain to the
offending station. Identify them thusly: Connect your UHF antenna to an
analog
TV tuner which is set up to tune OTA analog TV (not cable channels) and tune
channel 24. You should see noise but if you see a picture, that's your
problem.
I have that problem (sort of) in San Diego. There's an unwanted low power
analog transmitter on Channel 36 that is close enough to knock out a desired
distant channel 36 digital signal. It doesn't take much interference to do
it.

No ... Whatever the problem is, they are blasting out major power!
