P5Q is the better board, with more OC features. The pro version is even better.

The AC7 is OK, but there are better coolers out now. You'll see lot's of links and refs on these boards... Xigmatek, Sunbeam..

I wouldn't use that case, not great airflow.

Far superior case.

If you are buying Vista new the general consensus is get the 64-bit. It's made big improvements since release, and the extra RAM utilization is becoming important.

Everything else seems good.

thanks for the tips guys

only reason i was scared to pick up the Xiggy is i fear it might not fit, but with the case you pointed out, Proximon, seems like it won't be an issue.

also thanks for the tip on 64-bit Vista

sounds good, thx

i was reading some reviews on newegg, seems like once you put the bracket on you can't take it off..can anyone elaborate on this?

and DAMN that cooler is huge lol!

You do not need to use the tape on the bracket, it just makes it easier to solo the project. You could, for instance, just use some masking type tape to temporarily attach the bracket to the underside of the board, then remove it once the screws are in place.
