Hey I am looking at purchasing some components to build a computer and I was hoping to see if you guys could make sure i havent missed something on the compatibility or if you have any suggestions on a better part. I posted links to Newegg for specs if needed. Thanx for your time
Hard drive ? WD 640 maybe
Serious overkill on the power supply. A Corsair 750w or PC Power and Cooling would be more than enough and save you big $
other suggestions would be a X38/X48 motherboard and a HD4850 in crossfire.
And on a hard drive i was wanting to use an older one I have had with XP and all my software on it. If i feel i need more space I could always get a slave drive. (but if you feel i do need to part ways with it please let me know for I havent built a computer in 3 years and that was my first build - It did come out great though, used it till now).
For the power supply deal thanks ill get the 750w
Any more comments or ideas are appreciated! Thanks
I Didn't think much of it power supply bein gong on the bottom was better acutally because the cold air tends to be lower and keeps powersupply rly cool . I didn't have any trouble at all and did some cable management as well
I have a high end case myself, but on a budget I would say these things are most important in a case:
1. airflow and fans
2. room, including all three dimensions. You want to be able to fit in the big CPU coolers
3. Looks. And remember, it might look real pretty on newegg but when it arrives you might discover it's made from cheap plastic and be disappointed.
Is this okay to build? Yay, Nay, Maybe if you replace this with... Oh just as an FYI its going to be a workstation for photo editing and working in adobe flash. It also will have two monitors be used for gaming as well. Thanks.
mushkin are the best memory Also if your going to get 2, you might considering wating for the 4870x2 2Gb of ram which is suposed to be 550-600. I heard it is going to kick ass card ps. It is coming out August 13 just right around the corner
