I have i7 920 and noctua nh-u12p for cooling. I changed my BCLK to 170 in bios with my multiplier at 21. I'm wondering if I can leave it like this because it seems to be a decent OC. Should I be changing other settings or can I just change the BCLK and leave everything else on auto? Also, can't I just change BCLK from windows with turboV? I find that much easier.

Bios overclocking is the best way to do it. Disable turbo, Set bclk to 200, vcore to 1.4 and reboot. Should boot fine at 4ghz

Set it to its lowest multiplier. X36 if i'm not mistaken. Leave every other bios voltage function on auto.

Got it running at 4 GHz with 1.4 v on core clock. Gonna run it over night with prime to ensure stability. Thanks for the help!
