We are looking for a new computer to process data exclusively and we have some doubts about what kind of CPU earn.

Actually, we're between two diferent kind of CPU, a CPU INTEL CORE 2 QUAD 2,80GHZ 45nm 1333MHZ and CPU INTEL XEON 2,66 GHZ QUAD CORE 45nm 1333 1.00
MHZ Bu
. We will really notice the difference between these two?? (remember that we only will use the computer to process data).

P.D.: Sorry about my poor english :p

Both use the same 45nm Core 2 Quad arch so the only real difference between them is the speed.
The 2.8Ghz C2Q will be about 5.25% faster than the Xeon 2.66Ghz quad.
The only benefit the Xeon possibly brings to the table is that it should be a higher validated part.
This means that, in theory, it will run a little cooler and last a little longer.
