Hi, all!

I am newbie in this stuff and
I'd like advices about sd cards.

First, which is the best? Kingstone or
ScanDisk? Prices are very similar.

Seconde, the prices of a 256 MB sd card is exactly
the
half of a 512 MB sd card. So, my question is,
shoud I buy two of 256 or 512?

Any hint will be much appreciated!

Many Thx!

Cordialmente,

Leonardo

I'd say ScanDisk.

I'd rather have 512MB and not have the hassle of changing cards and having
to carry the spare one around all the time.

The Kingston may be a SanDisk. There are only 3 manufacturers of SD
cards that I know of - SanDisk, Toshiba, and Panasonic. Kingston and
all the others are rebrands of one of these. I don't like SanDisk.

It shouldn't make any difference, except that you will have either one
or two cards. With two, you may have to do some swapping, but if you
lose one you still have the other. It's a matter of personal
preference.

Doesn't a 512 take longer to load material from? If so, then it's a choice
between the time to swap and the time to load.

Based on numerous reports I've seen on the internet. I have no personal
experience with them, because I always avoid them.

Only because there is more material there. Bigger cards tend to be as
fast, if not faster, than smaller cards.

Mine work well. Lexar doesn't cooperate with my Palm, but does OK in my
camera.

Glad I asked. I was a bit reluctant to purchase the larger ones for that
(mistaken) reason.
