i have windows xp sp3 and it doesn't detect my foxconn onboard pci-e realtek lan. doesn't show up in device manager and installing the drivers does nothing. bios shows the mac address as ff-ff-00-00-00-00. anyone know what's going on?
You know, I'm pretty sure that's NOT a valid MAC address. I'm guessing the LAN chip on your board is dead. You may want to RMA it if you can, or just add a separate LAN card.

Most likely a defective onboard LAN. Foxconn = poor quality, could be a reason why Foxconn is discontinueing motherboard sales under their own name. Try a cheap LAN card to see if the onboard is defective.
