putting a 478 pin cpu on a Socket A (462) asus mobo. what would happen

appart from CPU not entering the Mobo's cpu socket cuz of # of pins what other bad things might happen? cpu getting fried or mobo socket getting fried?

it wont fit, and if u do manage to get some pins in.... it will probably do nothing, or damage one or both components. thats all....
