board only has 8-pin connector but no 4-pin. will board still work?

I tried powering up this board http://eu.shuttle.com/archive/en/av42.htm#specificatio. but I noticed that the 4-pin connector usually next to the CPU socket is missing. Can this board still work?

Dosent require CPU plug. Thats an old...old.....old AMD board.

Meh..... I never built on a socket 478 :sweat:  But I could have at least read the description :D
