Bottleneck?

I am purchasing a new system as soon as today or tomorrow. I just wanted to check one last time whether anyone knows if, or can point me to a good source that addresses, whether DDR2 RAM is a bottleneck for a q9450 or q9550 processor? This is my planned setup:

Rampage Formula (X48/DDR2)
Q9550
ASUS 4870
Corsair 8gb 4-4-4-12 800 RAM
WB Velociraptor/Seagate 7200.11 1TB
Corsair 650TX
Lian Li PCV1100 Plus II Case
Samsung 24" Monitor
Liteon BluRay
Generic DVD writer
Vista 64 Home

If DDR2 is a bottleneck, then I would probably bump up to a DDR3 board and get 4gb rather than 8 to soften the blow to the wallet. Or just go with the q9450, but I like the thought of a beast CPU in there.

Thanks for your help!

Something the majority here will agree on, DDR3 is not worth the extra cost for the motherboard and the memory. The performance increase is very, very small. We are talking like only 1- 2%. Unless you can buy a DDR3 motherboard and DDR3 memory at nearly the same price of a DDR2 setup there is no need for DDR3, yet anyway.
