Raid setup

Hi all, I am thinking of getting a DROBO Firewire 800. then got to thinking... why the Drobo. There's other things out there. SO! Any suggestions? I would like to get something setup that will keep my data safe. 4 - 6 tb setup.

If you have the room in your case and the capabilities on your motherboard, you can just put 3 2TB drives in there and RAID 5 them. This would be a little bit more expensive than that drobo is, WITHOUT the drives. You probably dont need the speedy drives. 4x1.5 TB drives may save you some money since they are about $100 these days.
