Howdy all,

I currently have a Albatron 8800GTS 640mb running in my system and am curious how this card compares to today's cards?

About the same in performance as the 9600GT. Usually Nvidia's next step card's follow the formula of current *800 series = next step *600 series. However the 8800GT and the 8800GTS 512 kind of invalidated this rule by going to the 65nm process.

I like to use this site to compare different video cards:

http://www.gpureview.com/show_card [...] 475&card2=

It doesn't give actual benchmarks, but does give reliable specs and some ratings of the cards.

The Radeon 3870 and 9600GT are good matches for it. Performance wise.

This means the 8800GTS 512MB, 9800GTX, Radeon 4850, Radeon 4870, 9800GX2, Radeon 3870x2, GTX 260, GTX280 and finally Radeon 4870x2 will be faster than it.
