Help.
Been out of the game for a couple years. Current system running 2 x MSI GeForce NX7600GS in SLI mode on an Asus P5NSLI mobo.

Considering upgrading the cards to perhaps an 8800 GT or a 9600 GT. Open to suggestions up to the $150-$175 range.

But my real questions are:
1) Can my current mobo handle a PCI Express 2.0 card? Or should I stay with a PCI Express 1.0?
2) Besides MSI, any other manufacturers worth considering?

Thank you!!

I work at MSI so i would say, no other good cards lol. But most things are about the same, only MSI always uses the newest stuff, but on this mobo it is not really needed.

I have an Asus P5N32-SLi (bought it way before i started working at MSI lol)

Upgrade it to 2x 8800GT this will support DirectX 10.0 and Physx on gigh resolutions. Best configuration for a normal amount of money.
