Hi i have an Asus P5K-E/Wifi-AP motherboard and i have 2x1 gig of Super Talent DDR2 800 T800UX2GC5 (PC2 6400) silver heat spreaders with timings set to 5.5.5.15 1.8v. now i have tried and tried to tighten the timings but no matter what voltage i try i cannot get my computer to boot with CAS latency set to 4. i really wanna lower my timings if anyone out there can help me that would be great. im almost ready to buy new ram but if i can get this to lower then it will save me some money. Thanks a lot!
I have seen problems with SuperTalent in the past, but they are very good at helping with problems.
I try to buy ram that runs at cas 4 at 1.8v.
This runs oc'ed very well.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231209 A bios update often does nothing for ram use, unless it is designed to.But it never hurts to look and see if they have any updates that address ram timings.
thanks guys for your help and yes i already did a bios update i just really thought i could get my ram to cas 4 since i heard super talent overclocks well.so you guys think its the ram not letting it boot not my motherboard?
