formula+dominator fans+ cathode question

ok i wanna take some corsair dominator ram and the fan thingy i want to take this cathode

and mount ON the formula in between dimm slots so it will shine through the ram fan of the dominator?
it says the tube is 4 inches long and only 3MM diameter was wondering if any formula owners know if this will fit between the dimm slots? and also if i can actually mount it like that at all?

Don't need to measure it on the formula. Spacing between dimms are standard.
