ok here are the specs to my current pc:
C2d e7200
2gb pc2 6400 RAM (Crucial ballistix)
DFI Lanparty x38 dk
650 watt psu
Radeon x1950xtx

i would like to have some upgrade to my video card and here are the choices:
RAdeon x1950xtx for crossfire :80 dollars

Radeon 2900 xt probably about 80 dollars

Open box msi geforce 8800gt http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 814127329R

8800 gt http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814150315

Radeon 4850

radeon 3870

radeon 3870 open box 109 (asus)

What card should i get?

Where do you get these $80US 2900XT and X1950XTX options? Those make me curious. As far as "bang for the buck" goes, if you really could get the 2900XT (and not a pro or GT) for that much, then it'd actually best the price-performance ratio of the $170US 4850.

But failing that, out of what you listed, the 4850 trumps all the others in performance hands-down, especially if you enable AA.

Depending on what that "650 watt psu" is, i.e. if it is actually a 650W PSU rather than merely being labeled like one, in your place I would choose a 4850.

Also, what is your resolution? The 4850 may be nice, but it is overkill on anything under 22".

ebay for the radeon 2900 xt and 17 inch 1280 x 1024 what about the 109 dollar 8800 gt? just wondering...
