Choosing a vendor for HD 4850

So I want a 4850, what brand should I get?

I'm thinking about getting this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127370

or

This doesn't look to bad either:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770

I prefer the sapphire one due to price, but is that fan good enough? I can't find any reviews

Also how do I fan fix each 4850 if I cross them?

Thanks in advance

More about choosing vendor 4850
  1. I would say, go with the brand of motherboard you got. It will give you extra options in BIOS
  2. I would go with one where you get something free. I would consider the MSI with the beefy heatsink too.

ASUS with Alone in the Dark, $30 rebate, free shipping. $153

Visiontek, free Grid Game, $20 off

  3. I just got that MSI one myself a couple of days ago. :D
  4. i myself will buy the MSI version as the heatsink looks like it will keep the temps in check

visiontek on the otherhand offers lifetime warranty and a free game on top of it

just some little things to consider
  5. go with msi. really good company. customer service isnt always the best.
  6. Gainward HD 4850 GS!
  7. i bought the asus 4850 from newegg . it comes with a smart doctor program . it monitors your card , you can also adjust your fan speed easly . toms hardwhere did a review on that card as well . the alone in the dark game that came with it sucked tho .
  8. thanks guys, btw is there any way to use the 4850 to watch TV? How I change the fans speed of each GPU when I crossfire them?

    Thanks in advance

does this apply to the evga 750i+2x evga 8800GT versus XFX 8800GT's?

Not unless you have a separate TV tuner card in your PC.
  11. <V3NOM> yes it will give you extra options in BIOS if your GPU and motherboard are from XFX.

I got ASUS GPU and motherboard and it gives me options in BIOS to tweak the card
