What is the correct configuration for connecting component video from
a Denon 2803 A/V to Benq 8700 projector? Connecting the source
component video-out to the Denon component video-in and the Denon
component video-out to the Benq displays no video. Connecting Denon
s-video-out or source component video-out to the Benq displays
excellent video. Any suggestions?

Most likely you don't have the component inputs setup correctly. I have a
Denon AVR-983 (its functionally the same unit, even came with the same
manual) which works fine with a laser/DVD and progressive scan DVD player
hooked up. In my system I believe the defaults for the component were the
DVD and DBS devices but I'm not entirely sure (I'm not sure where my manual
is right now, but if you have yours it will be listed in the back somewhere,
its programable). I also turned on my system selecting one of my DVD
players and it came up ok. I then selected another device and the result
was no output to the TV (wide screen HD which comes back saying no video
signal detected).

Further to last if you have multiple sources plugged in to the same input it
might not choose your first choice for the default input.
I think you can down load the manual. I think I did when making a
purchasing decision.
