Ok this is my system

Q6600 @ 3.2 Ghz
2Gb corsair XMS2 ram
DFI LanParty DK X48-T2RS

corsair 620W psu ( i think this has enough power )

In an previous post i was looking into 2 4850 in xfire. But im now looking into the 4870x2 or the 4850x2 (which would you all recommend). and will my current system limit in any way ?, i will be running on a 42" 1080p HDTV. Also i think my PSU will have enough 12V power but could someone verify please?

Probably not. I run a 4870x2 with nearly the same setup as you, and im fine.

But, you could look into upgrading your ram.

Get the 4870x2, you wont regret it.

Should be fine, the one area where you could upgrade is to 4 gb of ram as mentioned above, but you should be fine.
