I'm trying to lower the price $100-150 if possible. I currently don't have any plans to crossfire cards. One concern I have is that I run 1440x900 resolution (and possibly 1680x1050 in the near future) so I don't want to overkill my system. I've heard that I may only need a 4850 with my resolution instead of the 4870. I'm using a 6 year old computer trying to play Age of Conan etc... I mostly use the computer for games. Also, are there any cables I would need to purchase to build a computer?

No cables needed and that looks like a excellant build. If you use newegg and shop on there i think you can build the same and save 100 to 150. because you can get gpu for around 30 dollars less you can save 20 dollars on memory and have good memory try G-skill with same specs as the corsair. Get the oem of the cpu and save 10 to 20 dollars. you should be ok.

To lower the price : (options)
1. Gigabyte P35DS3L
2. ATI HD4850
3. E7200
4. Mushkin, G-Skill, or Patriot RAM
Of course there is also a performance discount if you change the proc, and/or GPU. You lost the posiibility from Xfire with DS3L.

Get some of your parts elsewhere... like zipzoomfly.com , for example you can get the same PS for 97.90 before rebate, so you cna already save $20 there. If your willing to consider a different brand (linked below) of 4870 you can save anothe $55 after rebate over at zzf as well.

I like newegg for some things, but their prices are not always the best, my last build was split between newegg and zzf and I had no issues with any of the parts. I guess my biggest issue with ZZF is that their search is a pain, and they have a more limited selection, but if you can find enough savings to justify the shipping. The other issue I had was that the order processing was slower than I'd like, but it always seems that way when I've ordered parts for a new build.

the HD4850 will run everything on max settings at those resolutions. i have a HD4850 running at 1680x1050 and i can run everything maxed out. that will save you your $150 right there
