Hello.

I'm relatively new to this and am going to attempt to build my next computer. I want to stay under 250 bucks for a motherboard and cpu.

Here's what I want to use the system for:

HD Video editing
Gaming
I'd like to get something with HDMI so I can hook it up to my tv.

I've already got the other hardware pretty much figured out, but I'm lost on this topic.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are specifically wanting a mobo with integrated video, with any gaming involved, the only one I would consider is a 790GX board. That means AMD, but for video editing, Intel is far superior. What parts do you already have, and what is your total budget for all of the rest?

I want to spend no more than 750 for the whole system.

I haven't purchased any of the parts as of yet. I'm still pretty open to suggestions. I was going to wait to pick out a graphics card and ram once I figured out the mobo and cpu.

This is the hard drive I was looking at:

Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

I was going to get a 500W PSU. I am going with two Optical drives:

Lite-On 4x SATA Blu-ray Reader

the other:

DVD Burner TBD

Audio Card?

Those drives are good just put them in raid 0. You'll definitely need this for HD video editing. Also, why don't you have a video card listed? Get one with HDMI output, this is way better then the onboard options.

Where did either of you guys get the idea the OP was looking for integrated video on his motherboard? He didn't mention that at all...

With a budget of 750 he should easily be able to get a nice video editing/gaming system with 4GB of ram, 2 HDDs to RAID 0 and a 4850 or better.
