  1. To Crossfire 2 of those... Not by the looks of this list: http://game.amd.com/us-en/crossfirex_components.aspx?p=3
  2. looks strong enough to me. =]

    +3.3V@30A,+5V@30A,+12V1@18A,+12V2@18A,
    +12V3@30A,+12V4@30A,-12V@0.8A,+5VSB@3A
  3. So will it be enough or not? Can someone conferm?
  4. will you be overclocking or watercooling the 4870x2's?
  5. Well maybe OCing a little bit... But no WC
  6. Sorry you need at least a 1kw power supply. If you look at any of the manufacure websites they require 650w for 1 card and 1kw for 2 cards.
  7. Sorry you need at least a 1kw power supply. If you look at any of the manufacure websites they require 650w for 1 card and 1kw for 2 cards.
  8. How can that be? The card doesn't take 350W of power.... It takes at maximum load 270W. So...
  9. ^hes using 2 of em
  10. dude just go onto the thermaltake website and use their power supply calculator... select the parts you're using and there you go
  11. I do not see why your XIGMATEK MC NRP-MC851 850W would not power 2 4870X2 in CF. On AMD's website of recommended power supplies, they list the Xscale EP-750P3A as one of the recommended power supplies.

    It has +12v1 20a, +12v2 20a, +12v3 20a, +12v4 20a. With a total wattage of 750w.

Your PSU is very comparable to that one, and it's on the recommended list.

I don't see any reason why not, but maybe TheGreatGrapeApe or someone else can provide some more insight.
  12. Ok so i did the calculation on thermaltake and it turned out 680W... So do you guys think im gonna be set?
  13. I'd say you are.
  14. certainly. did you also take into account 100% system load and an overclocked processor/slightly overclocked 4870x2's?
  15. It's going to run, but you'll probably push it to the limit which is not good of course :non:
Go with a 1k as it leaves room for the PSU to breathe
  16. How much room will i leave?
