Hey, when you try to trade with a neutral player (to you) and you get an
Opposing Factions message, does this mean that the player is either Imp or
Rebel, depending on your faction? I have been using this method for months
to weed out the undesirables. Any thoughts on faction scanning this way?

If you are overt and try to trade with a "blue dot" and you get that
message, then yes, that player is of the opposing faction.

And? Still an indicator that this person is a member of the opposite
faction.

If you are overt, then you can attack them.

If you are covert, you can't trade.
