Hey, I recently tried to run this demo on my 9600gso, it obviously ran poorly, then the display went black and colored blocks appeared. Just wondering if there's any change of permanent damage due to this. Thanks.

Need more info, just running a single app shouldn't kill you card unless it was about to go.

Details will help others better guess at the problem.

The card is new. Not sure what more info I can give but the app started to run at 1600x1050, I saw the render and bg music was working. App was going at <1fps...then the render went black, changed resolution and colored blocks appeared.
